Bidrage med feedbackWe went for breakfast and 2 of us ordered the American English breakfast which consisted of fresh scrambled eggs. Well imagine my shock when, after paying $18 for breakfast I was served powdered eggs. Unacceptable!
We went here on a July 4th weekend and ordered the Platter for Four for $69.99 and iced butterbeer great deal and it was delicious! The platter has potatoes, vegetables, ribs and chicken. With my husband and 2 boys (10 12), we practically ate everything, with a little left over. It was really good, would come here again.
The food was good and the wait wasn 't too long. The staff was there, but that 's about all I can say. I didn 't really interact with them and they didn 't interact with us. And that brings us to my issue with this place: This was meant to be part of the Harry Potter experience , but there wasn 't really any Harry Potter to it.... The staff had uniforms that may have been associated with the film but I didn 't recognize it. Disappointing to say the least. The English breakfast was okay though the portions were very small and as I was on vacation, I had one of their park exclusive IPAs at 9am, which was nice. This would be 3 stars but we got stuck on a ride and showed up late for breakfast but they let us slide in anyway!
Before I start, I have to mention that the wait time was absolutely terrible. However, that’s somewhat expected given the location. Was it worth the wait? I'm torn on that. The ordering process felt a bit odd. There are other places nearby that use an app for ordering, but this venue felt particularly impersonal. Not a single staff member greeted us; we were simply seated and left with a QR code on the table. We had to figure out on our own that it was a mobile ordering setup. Good luck getting refills! If your turkey leg is dry or your food is cold, don’t expect to easily find someone to help. The atmosphere felt more like a large cafeteria than a themed dining experience—it reminded me of a Viking longhouse rather than the enchanting world of Harry Potter. It was like being left on our own in a bustling high school cafeteria during lunch. Personally, I enjoyed my pie, corn, and ribs, but unfortunately, the chicken was very dry, as was my girlfriend's turkey leg. Overall, I don't think it was worth the wait, but it was still an experience worth having.
Pros: The service is quick, and seating is efficiently managed. Although there may be a long wait, the staff does an excellent job of getting guests seated and meals prepared promptly. Cons: The menu offers standard English pub food, which feels rather generic. Aside from the themed decor, there aren’t many Harry Potter-themed events to enhance the experience. It would be exciting if they included live performances. Additionally, the prices seem high compared to the quality of food provided. Overall, it's a decent place to grab a meal while visiting Hogsmeade, but it doesn't stand out as a must-visit destination.
