Bidrage med feedbackThe taro rice noodle soup was delicious. However, the salt and pepper seasoning was too light and could use more flavor. The octopus fritters were cooked perfectly. The pork belly in the rice bento was also delicious, although slightly overcooked for my taste. The spring rolls were also enjoyable.
The restaurant is located in a plaza where a new Publix is currently under construction, so Mei is becoming more popular with the increased traffic. The cleanliness of the family restaurant is excellent, with no trace of dust. There is even a sink for customers to wash their hands after eating. The atmosphere is always quiet whenever I have visited (3 times now) and the staff are friendly, patient, and provide fast service. Each time I have ordered the shredded sharp noodle soup, I have been impressed. The first time I was skeptical because there was no broth, but the flavors were amazing with the perfect amount of spice (even before adding chili oil). The dish had a generous amount of shredded chicken and sweet noodles. On another visit, I tried two of the chicken buns, which were steamed and had a crispy outer layer covered in a sweet glaze (pro tip: add chili on top). The cost of the meal was around $24 before tipping, which included two chicken buns and a bowl of noodles. The authentic Asian cuisine, high-quality food, generous portions, and excellent service make this restaurant a must-visit.
The Asian food at Mr. K's in Lake Nona is incredible and delicious. Unlike typical Chinese takeout, the flavors here are exceptional. This restaurant is a standout in the area and one of the top Asian spots in central Florida.
Love this place for it is ma po tofu! reminds me of what my dad is building and it is always consistently tasty and high quality! price is very reasonable for quantity they get, along with a veg, supp smalle, and spring roll. my man gets almost every time the Taiwanese braised pork over rice and always tastes great. other menu items I have tried are taiwanese sausage baked rice (yum soybean paste nudel (beautiful but too salty for me), gua bao (very takoyaki (better freshly cooked) beef noodle soup (taste like the one I had in taiwan seeweed salat (price), takoyaki (better freshly closed off) I hope this place is not.
Charming restaurant with great food in the Suncrest Village Plaza at the corner of Dean and University. Due to the renovation of the nearby Publix, navigating the parking lot can be a bit of a challenge, but it's worth it for the food! Unfortunately, there's no menu on display, and no printed menus, as this place is still in pandemic mode in some respects (every other table is closed), so you will need a smart device (preferably a tablet the phone format is a little squished) to flip through to make your choices unless you're already familiar with the options. Still, once we got past that hurdle, the food was great, and pretty fast service for how busy it was. The octopus balls (I'm used to calling them takoyaki at other places) make for an impressive and tasty starter. The bento deals offer generous portions and a variety of elements for a meal. The server was friendly (and patient with my fumbling through the menu), and overall this place was just a good find and I regret not checking this place out sooner!
