Mecatos Bakery Café Downtown - Orlando

I’m giving one star since I can’t give zero. I liked the food until the terrible customer service I just went through. Ordered chicken empanadas they gave me beef, no big deal but when I went to switch them out the girl tells me I asked for beef which I only ever order chicken since I don’t like beef. She says she’ll switch them but then comes back with the manager who tells me “we can’t cause you already bit into them”. How else am I supposed to know what’s inside, that they messed up what I asked for. That’s terrible customer service. Not to mention I’ve let it slide in the past when they’ve given me an empanada that was still pretty cold in the middle on two occasions.

Very friendly service, first time I tried this location. I meet up for some business presentations and they were very open to that .

Amazing! I got the avocado toast and added eggs and it was delicious. Plain cold brew coffee that was also delicious. Will be back!

Counter staff doesn’t know the difference between ice coffee and iced latte. Get simple syrup, its literally sugar melted with hot water, its unpleasant to have plain sugar that doesn’t dissolve in iced drink.

The bakery was very clean. They had a case of all of the desserts and pastries that they sold. The menu also indicated that they serve breakfast all day. They also serve coffee. It appeared to be alot of Colombian sandwiches. I got the cachopa with Carne asada. It was delicious. I also got a slice of regular cheesecake. My friend got the guava cheesecake. She said her cheesecake was really good. My cheesecake was ok. The wait for our food wasn't very long. There are no fountain drinks that I could see. The staff was very nice and friendly.
