As for the quirky little dog with a charming voice that seemed to draw us in, we couldn’t help but wonder what we did to deserve such an encounter! It's clear that not everywhere in Canada offers authentic Mexican food, but I’m thrilled that Orillia now has a spot like this, and I highly recommend it! They even have a small shopping center filled with Mexican treats! I tried two items that Mexicans love to munch on during snack time (heh heh). We know it’s not good table manners, but we couldn’t resist playing with our food to show just how enjoyable this meal was. By the way, my husband highly recommends trying the bark, and I wholeheartedly support that suggestion! The small containers of salsa were heavenly; we only wished they were bigger. The Colombian empanadas were fantastic, but they might’ve needed a tad more cooking to be perfect. Still, they were delicious! If you have a chance to get just one, make sure you enjoy it fully! Here are some extras from traditional Mexican snacks I recommend: 1. Pulparindo - an extra-hot and salty tamarind candy that might not be for everyone, but it's worth trying! 2. Mazapan - a delicate, crumbly candy that melts in your mouth, and honestly, it should be sold everywhere in larger portions! For our to-go drinks, we had: 1. Sangria Senorial - a non-alcoholic sangria-flavored soda. 2. Sidral Mundet - a naturally flavored apple soda. As for the entrees, we enjoyed: 1. Plato Tipico - a typical Latin dish with chicken, rice, avocado, salad, and fried plantains. Overall, this place is a gem for anyone craving authentic Mexican food!

Great little place! the staff was very friendly and asked us how our meal was. it's more of a spin-off. we were able to sit down, but there are bar-style sitting in front of the window and a table. but the portions were great for the price! they also have a small section where they sell products imported from mexiko, as well as frozen foods can take them home. I would recommend this place and would like to go back to try some different elements on the menu!

Very authentic tacos! Probably one of the best we've ever had. If you've never had beef tongue, this the place to try it! If you have had tongue before, this is the best place you'll ever have it. Lamb was ok. Also had the enchiladas Verde, very authentic flavour. Cant wait to try other menu items! Congrats so happy you're in Orillia!

I visited the Mexican House for lunch yesterday, and I was truly impressed! I ordered the chorizo tacos, which were prepared just like you'd find in a great Mexican restaurant—simply amazing! What surprised me even more was the side of fries I got; they were quite possibly the best fries I've ever had in my life!
