Latitude 45 Grille - Oregon

After reading the menu on line, we decided to try this place for some rib eye steaks. Turns out, it is no longer on the menu. Decided to try the baby back ribs instead, but none available. We ended up ordering hamburgers and fries. The hamburgers were raw, not pink, but raw. Waitress offered to cook some more for us, but our butts were already sore from the hardwood booth and the 40 minute wait to get our dinner. Took the meat home, and recooked it for breakfast. I travel extensively and try to eat at a different dining establishment every night when staying in an area for a few days or more. My first night in Baker City I tried Latitude 45. I had their rib dish. OMG, it was sooo good! The meat fell off the bone and they had a unique flavour that was out of this world. Good quality food in nice atmosphere. On the higher price point for town but great for a treat. Burgers and fries are yummy. So is the tortellini with pesto. Comfortable to sit and eat because they actually use their heating system, unlike some places in town. Would rate it a full five stars if not for the price point. $18.95 for a burger and diet Coke is a tad exorbitant. Adding tip that's $26 per person IF you eat the cheaper menu items. I was told it was the best restaurant in town, I had very high expectations but I was disappointed, the food is nothing special, I ordered fries and it came too salty, I made another order asking for the potato to be unsalted and it came salty again, the pasta with white sauce was ok but the chicken was too seasoned and I couldn't eat it, I asked for a coffee and the server didn't bring sugar or cream.
