High Tide Café - Oregon

I have tried Reuben sandwiches everywhere in Oregon. This place has the best one yet!! I have family that lives in Coos Bay, but I would travel here to eat and skip family all together, if I had to!

First time yesterday,.got takeout. Hands down BEST burger AND fries I've had anywhere in a long time. The burger had so much flavor, and the fries were that delicious homemade style, not the usual frozen restaurant fries. The ranch was great too, which is a thing for me lol. -ALSO, stellar above and beyond customer service. Loved it!!

No clams in the clam chowder, should be called potato chowder. Server offered to bring another cup with clams in it. What? Out of cod so deep fried tuna instead, $16 for one peace of fried tuna with some fries and slaw, over priced tourist trap. Server was friendly. Don’t waste your money.

I will start by saying that the portions have gotten smaller. That said, I don't think that is a bad thing. We both had plenty to eat; enough so that we didn't have room for desert. The quality and preparation of the food is excellent. On par with the best fish we've had at the coast. The atmosphere is casual and the staff are pleasant and efficient.
