Al Ponte - ORBETELLO

Located next to a small canal harboring small fishing boat .The atmosphere is sensational .The speciality are of course fishs.The wine is good but in view to off set the price vino de la casa is always a good choice .Very good meal with a view .

We stumbled across this restaurant in search of a quick Saturday lunch. Despite being busy, they kindly accommodated the four of us. We didn’t have any expectations and we’re looking for somewhere to grab a quick bite to eat whilst exploring the local area. What a surprise! The food was incredible and service was fantastic! They were so kind to the children. We had prawns, squid, spaghetti, sea bass and a lovely fresh tomato salad all of it was exceptional! It wasn’t cheap but it was worth every penny!

All very good, excellent quality fish, the service is very polite and efficient, they make you feel at ease. They have a great variety of wines but unfortunately they do not have the wines of the Argentario in particular Hortuli Hosiani

Excellent food and service. Finally after 4 nights here we found a pleasant restaurant that serves the excellent fresh food you expect when you're in Italy. We will definitely come back before going back home.

Got to this place after reading reviews and totally disappointed. The main plus is that you seat in the garden between water channels under the pine trees. But this plus is questionable as the restaurant is between two busy roads with constant noise. This could be forgiven and forgotten if the food was great. But the food was really distasteful. We took carpaccio from spade fish, boiled clams as a starter and spaghetti vongole and grilled fish as the main dishes. Only spaghetti was up to standard. The rest was terrible. Do not also take vine ala casa. It is not vine, but some terrible liquid. Shame for Italy.
