Kelly's Rugby Hotel Orange

A very modern hotel out of the main street. Usually find a old boys taking a beer or two. Nice and quiet for a quick beer. Clean and friendly. The owners are great old time people. A must for an honest drink and feed.

Have previously dined several times at this venue and have enjoyed reasonably good meals. Took out-of-town friends there today and was very disappointed. Service was just OK, but waited ages for meals even though there were very few other patrons. When they finally arrived, meals were barely warm, steaks were average and a piece of metal was found in one steak. When reported, the response was underwhelming! No more next time!!

Felt this place was overpriced for what you got. Desserts were good though. My chicken was dry and they don't really cater for vegetarians.

Great food and outstanding Service. On a very busy weekend we managed to score a table for 4. We were enamoured by the excellent service, the good food and very pleasant Verandah setting.

The service was very plesent without being overly 'Present', with good knowledge of the menu and a nice conversation when chatted with. Food was good, quite good and not just Pub food but within a reasonable price bracket.It's a little bit to the side of the main street, was well worth the effort and I will be happly to go again when I am next in Orange.
