Fire on the Bayou is a hidden treasure! Who would have thought that someone had carved a delicious piece of New Orleans and put it in an office park in Orange City, FL?! My lunch companion spent decades in The Big Easy; her seal of approval was all I needed to awaken my appetite for some Cajun kitchens. Amber was our friendly and attentive server that delivered our wonderful meal and checked the right amount for us. My friend had the fish and chips, there were enough for two. I chose the steak and shrimp tacos with voodoo sauce. We finished with a generous piece of lime cake and two spoons. Absolutely perfect! The decor is so entertaining. The ambience is casual and welcoming. I will be back on a mission to experience the Gummibo (and practically everything else on the menu) next year!
One of the better meals I had in the area. I was born in Louisiana and lived in Charleston SC all summer 2021-i developed an incredible craving for cooking Cajun seafood - until 2021 I didn't like seafood minus the strange tuna sandwich. I wanted to get a cuckoo shrimp and landed with fish and chips and wow I am again. Fries were thick and crispy and the fish was freshly hot crispy, not fat and 3 MASSIVE pieces. So much I had to take 2 pieces home. My friend has the chicken cattle and the boy the lemon sauce. they have to sell it as a side and go over the fish. I literally scratched the sauce off the plate to go with my fried fish! The rice was spicy and well seasoned - I am a spice wimper. Nothing was excessively salty and our server Amber C I think was delightful. Restaurant was clean bathroom were clean everyone was wonderful. I will come back to try the rest of the menu!
If you?re looking for great New Orleans food this is the place. All their food is delicious, but they?re crab buckets are outstanding. They are actually better than the seafood restaurants that only do those bucket style of meals as well. Always love coming here.
This was one of the better dinners we have had lately. The location is kind of tucked away in a plaza but that means they have plenty of parking. The plaza has businesses at different levels, however the restaurant is on the first floor. We were immediately greeted when we walked in and the service continued to be amazing. We ordered the sausage bites appetizer. I'm not usually a sausage fan but I absolutely loved that appetizer. I ordered the Jilly Bucket with Bayou Love Seasoning at Medium (not super spicy at medium). The bucket was amazing. The dish is swimming in butter, which gave the bucket a ton of flavor. But don't worry, they have bibs available lol We ordered the tacos and those were impressive in both size and taste. I was also pleasantly surprised with their Cabernet. We wrapped it up with their chocolate cake. Split three ways it was still plenty for us. I would definitely recommend checking them out.
