1759 Irish Bar Restaurant - Opotiki

We celebrated a birthday party with kids and had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, the service was good, and the meals were served quickly. However, the draft beer wasn't as fresh as it could have been; they should reserve draft beer for busy times and stick to bottles otherwise. It’s a lovely old Irish pub with plenty of space. I would definitely return someday!

Masonic Hotel Opotiki is a charming little Irish pub located in the center of Opotiki township. It offers a wide variety of drinks, including cocktails, ready-to-drink beverages, and top-shelf spirits at the bar. Sky TV is available on most nights, and the atmosphere is typically quiet. The restaurant at the back features a small menu that can change nightly, with a specials board showcasing great deals each evening. The cuisine is classic pub food, including options like steak and eggs, chips, and surf 'n' turf. However, the dessert selection is somewhat lacking, as most items seem to come pre-packaged from the freezer. Overall, it’s a decent spot for a meal.

Thank you so much for feeding Our Whanau of 11 tonight. We had a mixture of Indian and Kiwi. From Chicken/Beef Burgers,Garlic Breads, Chicken Tikkas, Fettuccine,Butter chickens, camembert wedges, hotdogs and nuggets, seafood chowder and Surf and Turfs. Wow, we are Full and totally satisfied and Highly recommend dining here. The waitress was friendly and courteous and the Kai is Yummy. Thank yous very much for your hospitality.
