Blacksmiths Inn - ONE TREE HILL

The Blacksmiths Inn is a short trip up One Tree Hill Road, is a old fashion pub with lovely meals, I had the Guinesse Pie and Vegetables was a tasty homemade style pie my husband had the roast of the day which had a large serve of roast. We had a window seat over looking paddocks, they also have a lovely outdoor beer garden. The staff were very friendly well worth a visit.

A most enjoyable experience. Staff were very helpful, friendly and professional. The food was really good with generous serves. The price was very reasonable too. Will definitely return to enjoy the experience again. Thankyou

The staff were friendly, the meal was served but I found my steak only warm and not hot. This may have something to do with the strange belief that hot meat has to rest before being served. I had to ask for bread rolls and they were delivered to the rest of the room when most of the main meals had been consumed. The desserts were very slow coming to the tables. They did explain that too many had ordered the same dessert which took extra time to arrange. The room was nice and I would visit again but I would ask that they served my meal hot next time.

A great little country pub with big meals and lots of cheer. The occasional band is great fun too. The restaurant is open all day Sunday.

We went for lunch on Easter Monday to celebrate my daughters birthday. On arrival we were advised that the kitchen was running 40 mins behind time. After 90 mins my oysters Kilpatrick arrived (I ordered them as a main meal to be served with everyone else) but the waitress said she didn't know how long the rest of the meals would be. My meal was burnt and the sauce totally dried up. It looked awful and I naturally complained. The manager then came out and immediately agreed that they were rubbish. He then advised that there were no more oysters and would refund the cost and provide a free beer. About 20 mins later the waitress came and refunded the cost of all our meals but no beer.We asked again how long the remaining meals would be and were told that the kitchen had been closed and that no more meals would be forthcoming.To add insult to injury, we had been the only advance booking yet everyone else got a meal.We finished up buying pies from a local bakery. Needless to say, none of us will return.we went
