Rose Garden - Omaha

Very good food. Went recently for lunch with my wife. The place is hidden in the corner of a shopping center and easy to overlook. Do yourself a favor and go and look for it. We had an amazing lunch. My hot and sour soup was some of the best I have ever had. Our chicken egg rolls were perfectly crisp and stuffed with filling. The crab Rangoon was crisp and full of creamy filling. All of this goodness even before we started our meals.My wife had the sweet and sour chicken and raved about it. The chicken was breaded and cooked to perfection. The dish was also loaded with pineapple, green pepper and onions. Their sweet and sour sauce is more orange colored then the usual red we have found, but we both like the flavor of it a lot.I had the beef egg foo yong and it was great. The two very large patties were thick and loaded with meat. The accompanying gravy was thick and flavorful.We found the restaurant to be very clean. Service was very good. Matter in fact, we went a little late for lunch and we were the only people there for a time. The lady at the counter came out and talked to us a bit. Her husband is the cook. She was very friendly and informative.We will be going back to try some more items on the menu.

I must agree, this place is excellent for the price. probably in omaha after taste. the decor is lacking only a few stands/tables, but eating will not disappoint. try best when they dive!

Peanut butter huh! whether they think that PB chicken sounds good or not, that is the best and they need to try. my whole family loves it, and the other dishes are in the rule at the end. the other dishes are good, but it is the PB chicken that is so unique from other places. crab rangoon are great with a light tangy taste. great friendly service.

Good. I ordered an egg roll to start. It was pretty good, but a little too full of cabbage and weak on flavor. I ordered the Orange Flavored Chicken. It was served with fried rice and two cream cheese wontons. The chicken was very good and very flavorful (be careful you don't get any orange peel on your fork as it will be an overpowering taste experience). Rangoon were standard. Nothing exciting there Overall, this is a solid place to grab some typical Americanized Chinese food. I'm picky about my Chinese food and Rose Garden is very good. I love that they have a duck entree. I've noticed not very many Chinese restarants serve duck and I wish more of them did. ;
