Greg was extremely friendly. It's rare to find places like this nowadays. The menu is simple, which I appreciated. The atmosphere is very cozy, making it a great spot for engaging conversations.

Aside from its stunning interior, Howlin’ Hounds is a fantastic place to connect with locals and soak up the town's culture, not to mention casually chatting about current events and politics. Spend just five minutes there and you’re bound to hear something witty or amusing coming from behind the bar. Whether you come to grab your expertly made coffee (though be warned, the standard size is three shots of espresso!) or choose to relax at the bar while enjoying some of the delightful “Greggisms,” you’re in for a truly unique experience. Pros: A charming and eloquent host, engaging conversations, warm Midwest hospitality, exquisite artisan coffee, a vintage and inviting ambiance, and an all-around one-of-a-kind experience! Cons: You may find yourself falling in love with it all and wishing that Greg could clone himself and his bar!
