Burger Theory - Omaha

Ok, we came here without reading the reviews first because we were starving and it was a close walk from our hotel. We were greeted quickly and told to sit wherever we liked. There was a variety of seating options, hi- tops, booths, tables, long bar type tables (with cool live edge tops) or the bar so really comfortable. Our server, Mindy, greeted us quickly, got our drink order, and was back quickly to get our order. At this point I started reading reviews and gotnervous. I was reading them to my hubby when...... the food came out. No lie, maybe 15 minutes. The food was DELICIOUS! The Parmesan Panko onion rings were the best I?ve ever had. The grilled veggies..... oh my.... so good! Veggies on myburger were so fresh. My husband said his burger was just as good. Prices were pretty good considering the quality of the food. Our waters were refilled several times and each time I new lemon. I talked to Mindy about the reviews on googleand she was aware of the low ratings. She said that they have had a lot of staff turnover, including management, but they are on an upswing now. Being part of the Holiday Inn is sometimes a challenge, because even though the restaurant maybe empty, they are getting slammed on room service or catered orders. Mindy said they were working on it. Give this place a shot, the food is awesome, and Mindy is great!

If there was a negative 5 this is what I would give Burger Theory! It wasn't busy when we arrived waited almost 10mins to be seated. They literally act like we was not standing there to be seated. The waitress bought 2 cups of water no ice and held the cups by the rim. I had to ask for ice then after that waited over 15mins for the waitress to come take our order. She never showed up like we was invisible not there at all! So being I never got the opportunity to try thefood and experiencing this just from walking in the door! We got up and walked out! They will never see me again PERIODT!!

This is the worst burger I have tried. It tasted like rubber, and I am not a picky eater. Also, the fries are not even fried. They are frozen fries that are baked in an oven. They were soggy as well. McDonalds makes a better burger than this. I couldn?t finish the fries or burger. I used to wonder why it always seemed empty. I don?t any more. It truly is a ?Burger, in theory?. Would not recommend to my worst enemy.

Went tonight. Couldn't even get in to the half empty restaurant. Server met us at the front, said that there was only 1 person cooking and it would be a long time before we could get any food. We left.

I work two blocks away and finally decided it was time to try it out. It was early in the day in the middle of the week with no major events in the area so it was pretty empty, only two other tables and two seated at the bar. In spite of that it was over thirty minutes from the time I ordered until I got my food. I got very polite service, that is one thing they did extremely well. I finally got my food just over thirty minutes after I ordered. My burger was okay but nothing special. My fries were likewise okay but nothing special. My basic burger, fries, and soda cost me $17.55. That does NOT include tip (as I said, the service itself was very good). For what I got, I can not remotely justify the price. There are too many places in the downtown and north downtown area with better food and better prices. A $17 burger had better knock my socks off. It didn't.
