Brewery Town At The Collins - Omaha

Hate to be the bearer of bad news. This place has reinvented themselves at least 3 times. From high end to their current bar food menu. They plainly suffer from poor service. Not in the bad sense but in the incompetent sense. I suspect this restaurant will cease operations soon. I cannot recommend it. But I will not give them a 1 star because I believe they think they are doing ok.

This is by no means a 5 star restaurant, but it 's 5 stars at what it does. The entry was confusing and the hostess wasn 't waiting at the hostess stand when we walked in. In fact, a couple of guys walked in and then turned and walked out saying, It must not be that good if the hostess wasn 't there. Big mistake, lol. This is one of those hole in the wall places with excellent food. We were there for brunch and the chicken and waffles, homemade cinnamon roll, breakfast burrito and biscuits and gravy were all excellent and reasonably priced. I had tried the biscuits and gravy at Lula B 's yesterday and The Collins ' were SO much better. Evidently the gravy is made from scratch every morning. If I had to make one criticism it would be that the portions could 've been just a tad more, but no one left hungry. They have outside seating as well but with the heatwave we opted to sit inside, which could 've been cooler as well. None of which would prevent me from returning.

Really amazing! My wife and I happened upon this place while downtown for a date night. Has very nice outdoor seating and the food was exceptional! We were especially impressed with how reasonable the prices are considering how overpriced everything seems to be now days.

I 'm always looking to try local places with delicious looking food and a solid beer selection. The Collins/Brewery Town seemed to check off the boxes so figured to give it a shot. Underwhelmed will be the most accurate word to describe it. For boasting of local brews they had very few local beers and none of which are on the menu and have to ask specifically what they have and unfortunately the waitress only knew 2 beers. My girlfriend also had one of their specialty mules and was very underwhelmed also. When it came to the food I order the club and it only came out with turkey, ham and cheese so it was missing the mustard aioli, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and onion. I waited about 5 minutes for our server to check in on us but she never came so had to flag down another server who brought the rest of the ingredients minus the bacon to the table on a plate for me to make up the rest of my sandwich. My girlfriend had the French dip and they even forgot the cheese, one of two ingredients in the sand which. Our server never came to check on until we were done eating. For toting to be an upscale sports bar the higher price for poor quality and incompetent food and average at best service was quite disappointing and left feeling pretty underwhelmed and bummed out for a place we were hoping to be our new downtown date night spot.

Yum yum yum!!!! Excellent service, excellent food and great prices!! I highly recommend the eggs bendict and charcuterie for brunch! Oh and Rome, the server is THE BOMB!
