Many establishments like this often fail to live up to their reputation, but I'm pleased to report that this one successfully demonstrates why it's held in such high regard in the area. The rice and beans, as well as the macaroni and cheese, were definitely delicious, and the fried chicken and catfish were fantastic too. While the menu appeared somewhat limited, it ultimately included everything essential for a restaurant of this type. I found the prices a bit on the higher side, but they weren't outrageous. Lastly, the lemonade was a wonderful complement to the meal.

The oven-fried chicken here is absolutely fantastic! The macaroni and cheese is excellent—better than I expected. I was a bit unsure about the smashed potatoes with chicken gravy, but they turned out to be spot on. The catfish was incredible as well. I don’t live in this state, but I’ll definitely be looking for Big Mama when I return!

I tried the classic chicken sandwich and absolutely loved it! The staff are super friendly, and the prices are quite reasonable, especially considering how delicious the food is. I personally found the cranberry tea to be great, though some family members were a bit unsure about it, so it really depends on your taste. I will definitely be returning!

The food was incredible! I could really taste the love and care that went into the delicious bun. My absolute favorite was the mac and cheese—please try it! It's the best I've ever had in my life! I wanted to order the cheesecake, but they were sold out, so I'll have to try it next time. I really enjoyed my experience at Big Mama’s Kitchen!
