Beacon Hills In Aksarben Village

I visited this restaurant for brunch on Mother's Day after stopping by the farmers' market. It was quite busy, and they were only accepting reservations, but they managed to seat me at the bar right away. Despite being short-staffed, they did an excellent job of taking care of the customers. They had an efficient system in place, with one person taking drink orders and another handling food orders, which helped minimize wait times. Their customer service was impressive; even when a customer had a rather trivial issue, the staff handled it well, ensuring the customer left happy. That really speaks volumes! The Mother's Day brunch menu featured exceptionally creative and delicious options. I ordered the biscuits and gravy, and the portions were so generous that I had to take most of it home.

At first, we weren’t even sure if the place was open because it looked so dark from the road. We had just come from a concert at Stinson Park and were thinking of heading elsewhere, but we decided to give it a try. We opted for a table on the terrace so we could enjoy the concert sounds. Our server, Andrea, was fantastic—very personable and attentive. She offered us helpful suggestions and shared honest opinions, which my wife and I really appreciated. The food was excellent; we started with the Beacon Hill crab cakes, followed by the marinated char chicken sandwich (a summer special available Monday through Friday) and the red jammin’ chicken breast. The house lemonade was also refreshing. However, the terrace was quite dark. Our server mentioned that someone had cut the electrical lines for the ambient lighting, which was a bit of a downside. I had wanted to try the stroganoff, but it had sold out earlier in the evening. Overall, it was a great experience, just shy of five stars.

We had a fantastic experience at the restaurant. Our server, Ben, was attentive and made sure we were well taken care of. The menu offered a great selection, and I ordered a meat dish that I found to be excellent. They also had a nice variety of craft beers to choose from. My wife enjoyed the ambiance at the bar. We’re definitely looking forward to trying the chicken pancake on our next visit!

It is a very nice restraunt, good stuff. Our waitress was great. We got happy hour drinks (well I could not resist a margarita) and appetizers. They appetizers were all great, and my favorite was the lasanga squares with marinara. Would go there again!
