Tacho à Mesa - Olhão

We have been here several times. Always a great experience. Both the food and the wine are carefully selected and prepared. The fish was fresh, light and very well prepared, the meat tender and of good quality. We like the white, light decor and the friendly service. For sure not a tourist trap but genuine good food.

We were walking past this place towards the station on a day visit to Olhao and stopped to look at the menu. We decided to sit down at a table outside and chose a late lunch light meal selection. olives, bread, goats cheese and shrimp, with a glass of lager each. Pleasant service from attentive staff, and reasonable prices. The star was the dish of 7 large shrimp served hot in an orange based sauce they were exceptionally tasty and some of the best I have ever had! Thoroughly recommend and wish I could go back!

Totally unexpected, this restaurant was very good. Didn’t look much from passing by, but my husband googled nearest restaurant to our apartment. So far we’ve had three meals there and we only been here 5 days. Try the Cataplana, gorgeous my steaks in different combinations have been delicious. Staff very friendly attentive, even on the day they were short staffed. They explained their situation we all understood.

Fresh food, beautifully prepared and presented. Our meal was awsome. Excellent service. Definitely one of Olhao's best restaurants.
