Bidrage med feedbackVery nice place. To eat and by local hand craft Artesanat. Bar and live music. Cinema. Art expositions. One of the best typical places Olhao down twon.
Nice place for a break. Quiet location, nice staff and good snacks. In the backyard, extremely quiet and very good music
I discovered this place in a hidden back-garden by coincidence during a day stroll trough Olhão. There was an interesting photo exhibition from a Berlin photographer in the corridor leading to the bar. I saw an announcement for a Jazz concert in the evening and decided to come back for that. I 've had a wonderful evening under a star sky listening to a most amazing young jazz singer (Marta Arpini) and a Jazz duo called Old Mountain . I just ate humous which was delicious.
Infelizmente nao posso dar mais que 3 estrelas. Frango seco quase sem sabor. Arroz nao era fresco. Batatas sem sabor.
Before eating at the place, I checked the reviews on TA and was a bit concerned because no one actually talks about the food, what's in the plate but rather describe the atmosphere, the building architecture or the staff behaviour. We entered the place and no one came to us (my friend had booked over the phone the day before . We finally sat at a table. No menu on displayed, no prices either. We helped ourselves to an UNCORKED botlle of wine which was on the table and the waitress brought us the starters, without a word of welcome. Starter was half a pear with a small bit of THICK jamon serrano and a couple of salad leaves. Then came the main dish 2 shrimps per plate, and not giant prawns, believe it with rice and a curry& coco salsa (Thusday is supposed to be the algarvian traditionnal dishes day !!! . I asked for chili and the waitress brought me olive oil... The service has been pathetic, the waitress cleaning out plates before eveybody was done. The main dish by itself was regular taste and the decoration inexistant (rice was not even molded in a shape . The dessert was nicely dressed and tasty. 100€ for 4 people. That is a bit tough when you can eat decently for 8.50 in a restaurant WITH service, a choice of wines or water and a menu to look at, at least to learn the name of the dish you are eating.
