Yarana Tandoori Takeaway - Oldham

The food was terrible. We ordered quite a bit and the prawn korma looked like dhal with hardly any prawns in it, the other dish was completely wrong, and their house special definitely wasn’t special it sounds good on the menu, but everything was cheap and lacking in quantity of actual meat. The meat was hard so it’s not fresh and the taste was really cheap. I’ve eaten a lot of Indian in my life, so I know what’s good. The venue itself is very outdated in decor. The funny thing is that a lot cheap chicken shops seem way more posh. I’m very disappointed indeed. Such low quality cheap food. Even street food is more luxurious than this. The staff were polite, but we can’t help feel totally ripped off. This is budget Indian that’s way below bar and we most definitely won’t be returning. I think that we would have been better off going to McDonalds. I’m not sure how this place got 4 stars obviously a lot of their customers have no idea what decent Indian food tastes like.

We have been having takeaway from here for the past year, once a week and it is consistently excelent, in service, delivery and more importantly the fantastic food.

The food is tasty no doubt. Our first visit we waited an extremely long time in shop for our order and we was given one can of coke as an apology. Once we got our food home we realised my Husbands curry was missing so we then had ring the shop and wait for this to be delivered to us, by the time this arrived myself and the children had eaten ours a it was taking so long. We decided to try again based on that the food itself tastes amazing.This visit we had our food delivered to our home, order all there but was cold. Disappointed
