Wahlburgers - Olathe

This was a good visit overall. It was my first time eating here with my nieces and the place was not busy and the service was fairly quick. I am a fan of the actor so i did like the overall design of the place. With the titles to the movies he playedin. The burger and sweet potato fries were good.

Jens' chicken egg rolls were delightful, and the garlic aioli sauce was excellent. My coworker ordered the wahlepeno burger and found it to be really tasty. I rated it 4 stars because $15 feels a bit steep for a burger. The portions were generous, everything was delicious, and the service was quick too.

I had a wonderful lunch here! I ordered the Cheese Curds and The Big Cheese sandwich with Sweet Potato Tots. I also sampled some fried pickles and poutine from my colleagues, and everything was quite good. My absolute favorite were the Cheese Curds! However, we definitely over-ordered. The staff was friendly and frequently checked in to see if we were satisfied or needed anything.

I've been wanting to try Wahlburgers ever since I lived in LA, but I never got the chance while I was there. Today was finally the day. I inquired about a turkey burger, and the waitress informed me they had a Thanksgiving burger instead. I decided to go for that, along with a side of fries. Unfortunately, I felt like the $15 I spent was a complete waste. The burger consisted of two small meat patties, a teaspoon of dressing, and a bit of cranberry juice drizzled on top. It was really disappointing. However, the bar, decor, and staff were fantastic, which is what keeps this review from being a total flop.

As an additional side, I opted for the bacon mac and cheese, which unfortunately fell flat in terms of flavor. It featured penne pasta with a white cheese sauce topped with plenty of crumbs and a generous amount of real bacon bits, which added texture more than anything else. Adding a bit of salt helped, but it still lacked that extra kick. Although the sandwich appeared small, it was quite filling, especially with the generous portion of fries, so I really didn’t need the extra side. The fries were served in a charming little fryer basket. My waitress was friendly, too. However, I found the prices a bit steep; I ended up spending over $18 for my meal with the extra side, before tax and tip. Nonetheless, the sandwich and fries were outstanding! I would definitely come back again.
