Aroma Italian Restaurant - Okotoks

Food mediocre, at best and horrible, horrible service. Completely unprofessional service - our server didn't tell us the specials when we sat down, later, he sat down with his friends who were seated at a different table. He then proceeded to give them a tour of the kitchen. He asked if we were interested in dessert before he brought out our entrees. A different server had to refill our drinks. When we asked to get the bill BEFORE our plates got cleared - which we barely ate anything from, no one asked us if there was a problem. AWFUL PLACE. Food - alfredo sauce and bruschetta - terrible, zero flavor. The veal hard as a rock but breading soggy. Server didn't know what a Moretti beer was and couldn't pronounce things on the menu. I cannot tell you enough how awful this place was!

While not overly eye-catching at first glance (exterior appearance, interior decor, menu format), I left feeling completely satisfied and impressed, especially considering my initial impressions. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was very good overall. The Stuffed Mushrooms stole the show for the appetizer course! Absolutely delicious; a Must-Have! The Shrimp Provenciale was also very good - cooked perfectly. The calamari were somewhat overcooked (just a little too tough and chewy). The Seafood Risotto was nothing to brag about - the risotto itself was mushy and porridge-like, while the mussels and calamari were overcooked and tough. However, the Linguine Carbonara was to-die-for! Mmmm. Amazing! A delicious, creamy sauce with plenty of bacon and mushrooms! I would go back, just to enjoy this particular dish again! On top of that, the prices are inexpensive (in fact, I would have been willing to pay $10 more, for that Carbonara!). Plus, the portion sizes are very large. You definitely get your money's worth here and you leave feeling full. Highly Recommended!

No matter when we go we are always received with a giant smile, cold wine and excellent food and most of all service. Ask for Nora she is a blast.

Beautiful Italian food, good selection - especially children's menu. Lunch menu is smaller that dinner menu, so if you are looking for a wider range go for dinner. Excellent value too.

I've been hesitant to try this restaurant because of the location and exterior, however we went on Saturday night. I think it definite could use a facelift, but the food was fantastic. The portion was big enough to have lunch for the next day. Entrees were served with dinner rolls. I'd definitely eat here again.
