Bidrage med feedbackThis is the best Chinese food in OKC. I haven 't tried any of the Fuzhonese/ American Chinese dishes, but the Szechuan dishes are amazing, I highly recommend the dry shredded beef with Chinese peppers and the Szechuan String Beans.
Fast service, friendly staff and amazing food. Everything we ordered was flavorful and great!
Food was excellent!!! Service was great!!! Ambiance could be a little better but it doesn't matter the food was great I highly recommend it!
This is a solid option amongst the good Chinese restaurants on Classen. They have plenty of authentic and traditional cuisine as well as the more American favorites from any Chinese restaurant. I haven't ordered anything that I didn't enjoy yet and the sweet and stout chicken is a favorite amongst some in our group. They haven't stolen my business from golden phoenix or grand house, but they've joined the ranks.
I went here with my wife after seeing a show at the Civic Center. We arrived after 5:00 pm on Saturday. There was only party in the dining room already, so we were seated immediately. The dining room is cozy with just a few decorations on the walls. As you sit, you notice this restaurant 's attention to detail including the blue and white vessels at the table that are used for soy sauce, dumpling sauce , and hot chili oil.We started off with the oxtail and tripe appetizer. Served at just below room temperature, it brought back happy memories of a similar dish at Szechuan Bistro. American palates don 't often associate chewy and spicy; that 's what makes this dish so refreshing.I ordered the black pepper fish fillet with eggplant, while my wife ordered the salt and pepper frog. Our dishes came out about 15 minutes after we ordered; this met our expectations for speed of service. As usual, the mounds of food in front of us were large. That 's what happens when they are meant to be shared in a group of 4+ people. I indulged myself in bite after bite of silky smooth eggplant and what tasted like catfish. It was seasoned with finely ground black pepper. I was hoping for szechuan peppercorns, but apparently, those don 't come with this dish. I added soy sauce, and that brought the dish up another level with respect to its flavor. I only needed a few bites of rice since the eggplant and fish was plenty to eat on its own.My wife enjoyed the salt and pepper frog. I tried a piece of frog along the way. We were grateful to our server for warning us of the bones in the frog pieces. Having to slow down was fine for us as it gave us more time to enjoy each other 's company. The food was excellent, service was attentive, and the prices were average for the food quality and for the Asian District. We would like to return and sample more of their expansive menu.
