Rib Crib BBQ & Grill - Oklahoma City

Cannot believe I haven't written about this place despite having eaten here a number of times.Ok, they are not the number one BBQ place on the planet ... and they are part of a chain which usually bodes poorly. However this location does a great job of serving a consistently decent meal. The ribs are tender, meaty, and well seasoned (in a number of variations including a dry rub and a Carribbean BBQ sauce). They have the usual proteins and also do an excellent smoked baloney. Yes it is a regional item but surprisingly easy to mess up. They offer a bunch of sides including mashed potatoes and white gravy which actually taste good. There are others to include a corn cobbett, onion rings, french fries, cole slaw, potato salad, and others. BTW their cole slaw is also pretty darned good.They have a pretty stable set of combos and items. They usually run some new features which makes selection fun and can keep the meals from becoming too boring and just the least bit unpredictable.Service is good and the place is kept clean.Anyway, pretty good corporate BBQ.

I visited the NW Oklahoma City location may and ordered the spare rib dinner. The ribs where like inches long at best. They had the texture of boiled ribs as well. I asked the server if these were baby back ribs. Her answer was no they are just small ribs. I’ve never seen spare ribs this small. The flavor was just okay so I’m wondering if they are roasted with li quid smoke flavor rather than real hickory pit flavor. Back to the texture these ribs were falling off the bone rather than the preferred tender but firm that’s why I wonder if they were boiled first. The BBQ beans were fantastic as well as the fries. Both had a real smoke house flavor. Service was fair not excellent. I can’t say I’d recommend to anyone since I’ve had several in the area that I would rate well above this bbq restaurant.

I went to the 27th we got there about 5:30 told us that you weren't done for 30 minutes, so we ordered our drinks and about 3 to start, which we waited before we put our job in the hand so my daughter could order the huh. so we order our food ca. 30 minutes after 8 people were ordered when they brought our tellers, one of the plates had barely hit, and two of my family didn't even get their food because they ran out, something they had told us before we even ordered something. we asked to talk to the manager, and the waitress had anxious to get her, she said she would repair our order, but at this point there was no fixation if there was no food. the waitress finally got the manager and when she came out, she was very rude and said that it was our choice to wait for the huh and we should have order when they had other meats. we have waited to order so that we can all have our food at the same time. abbigayle was the manager at the time I will never go back to this place again to be treated wisely

We had to sit down ourselves if we were to know that we were going at this time. After we were recognized, we had to ask for menu. the waitress got no order right and the food was not prepared as the items were described in the menu. will not be back and I would not recommend this place to a hostile!
