Landing Strip - Okeechobee

Great food and a fun atmosphere while watching airplanes take off and land.

This is one of the best places to eat in Florida. It's really enjoyable to watch the planes take off and land.

I landed in Okeechobee and decided to have breakfast at the Landing Strip. I was pleasantly surprised by this lively local eatery. The food was exceptional, the service was excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Plus, the view of the airport was a nice added bonus. I can't wait for my next visit!

This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone coming from out of town. I love going there for breakfast; the food is consistently delicious and fresh. The staff embodies the warmth you'd expect from a friendly Southern dining experience. Conveniently located at the airport, it features large windows that offer great views of the planes and travelers coming and going. One of the highlights is the diverse group of patrons; it's vibrant with locals you can hear chatting about the community and what’s happening around town.

I had breakfast here solo after arriving from Naples, and I really enjoyed it. The meal was fantastic, and the atmosphere was lovely. I definitely plan to return when I have my PVT.
