Earl Of Sandwich - Okeechobee

I like this one. there is a fair number of restaurants to choose from. we wanted nathans, but it was closed. no sign, no reason why. maybe just short staff? Anyway, earl of sandwich is right next to him. not too bad. it was at another place, so expected reasonable quality. abbreviated menu, but not unusual in a street stop. it was nice to be able to eat outside. Why only two stars? I tried to use apple pay. it looked like it didn't work, so we pushed the card. that worked. here in December we find out that apple pay worked and also the card film. to be dissolved twice (per Amex instructions). had to leave both male voicemails. once after business hours and once during open business hours. We'll call amex to deny one of the charges. should not have to.

I watched the two people working in an evil argument about taking orders and making sandwiches. it is clear that they were underoccupied and a third person was needed to fulfill the orders, but the man treated the woman inappropriately at the workstation and in earshot of customers.

How would you like to wait 30 minutes for a mediocre sandwich while other people who have ordered after they get their food first? would you like to stand stagnant and hungry to wait for her overpriced sandwich, how to chat with workers instead of working? then this is the sandwich place for them!

If the place is closed SAY it’s closed. People get off the highway to come eat at this stupid place! Waste of time. I have been here twice now on random occasions and “during business hours” to only see it closed. Dumb.

Skip it. They are way understaffed. One person takes the order and makes the sandwiches.
