Bidrage med feedbackIt is a good thing they are closing. Even with a reservation, Host Jody was horribly rude. She was probably happy many of us left. We were there 15 min before our reservation left 30 min after! Awful!! She announced to the lobby: I'm too busy to be nice!
We never got to taste the food. We had a 7:30 pm reservation and when we arrived the workers and hostess were running around. Several times the hostess came into the waiting area stating...whose next? We waited patiently for 30 min without even being recognized. Never asked if we had a reservation but it was clear if your a frequent diner, reservation or not you get a seat and faster than those who had reservations!! VERY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! We came all the way from Cottonwood Heights because we were told this was the place to celebrate special friends and birthdays. At 810 pm the hostess went looking for a party of 5 that did not have reservations but were frequent diners and bypassed the 7 customers waiting who had reservations. We left to go get dinner elsewhere when it became apparent we were not a priority.
Food was not that good. People were very friendly. The deep fried zucchini appetizer was decent, but the rest was not really worth the
Food was ok , but I was going for the ambiance the history of the restaurant. Beautiful place. I would read up on the history of the restaurant before you go there the restaurant was once a family summer home in the 1800’s) . I think if you are going for just the experience, do it. Food reminds me of Grandma’s cooking which is not bad , but I wouldn’t consider it fancy. I do like the cinnamon rolls. Just have fun roll with it .
This place is our favorite! Great food and lots of it. Such a fun atmosphere and the service is great.
