The Soap - Oestermalm

This is the worst music I’ve ever experienced I’m wondering if there’s even a dj… so bad I hate soap bar.

As an American visiting Stockholm for the first time, I had a disappointing experience at a restaurant on a Monday night. My friends, who are from the Middle East but have been living in Stockholm for a long time, suggested we go there to eat after my late arrival from the USA. However, we were refused entry because we were not Swedish. Despite there being empty tables outside, the security guard informed us that we had to be on a special list to enter. When I asked for clarification, he simply walked away without answering. I then inquired if we needed a reservation, to which he replied that only regular Swedish patrons were allowed in. This discriminatory behavior was not in line with the information on the restaurant's website and left me extremely disappointed. Such practices are unacceptable and, in my opinion, this establishment should be held accountable for its racist actions. Traveling the world, I have never encountered such blatant discrimination before.

The bouncers are rude and aggressive for no reason. They told us that we weren't on the guest list and weren't allowed in. Our friends were already inside and there was no guest list. It seems they were filtering out non Swedish people... our friends inside had blond hair and blue eyes while me and another friend with black hairs were denied entry. Very sad and not an acceptable behavior.

DO NOT GO! Unless you are blonde with blue eyes, take your money elsewhere! Wish I could give this place a zero star. Such a terrible experience for me and my friends. The bouncers rejecting everyone that was not blonde with blue eyes are just a disgrace. They even lied about a guest list, which btw doesn't exist! When I questioned them ofc they said those were the rules but I know for a fact those rules do not exist. Why is this place even popular??? I advice everyone to avoid Soap Bar! Alot of racism and classism going on. Shame on the owners and the staff!!!

I had such a nice souvenir of this place when I went clubbing there with a friend few years ago but we went there with my husband this year thinking to have casual dinner and cocktails afterwards but in the end we stayed only for dinner because the waitress just made us feel like we had to leave because she needed the table. They should just have said no to us when we asked if we could have dinner but they did not they seated us and took our order. The food was actually ok but the waitress looking at us all the time waiting for the table without telling us was just so rude. She even took out my glass of the table it was not empty yet and she did not even ask me if I was done ... I was very excited to show this place to my husband but in the end was such a disappointment, I should just not have gone there this year and kept the nice memories I had from before.
