Lucky's Deli Market - Odenton

Lucky’s has the freshest Copenhagen in town an it’s the least expensive.

I was really impressed by how clean and affordable this deli is. I was excited to grab a sandwich, which even came with a complimentary small bag of chips. The staff were friendly, efficient, and provided excellent service. However, when it came to the sandwich, I ordered a cheesesteak and told the employee I didn't want mayo but was fine with the usual toppings. When I opened my cheesesteak, I found it had toppings like pickles, hot peppers, and raw onions. Clearly, I made some mistakes in communication; I should have been more specific about the toppings with the sandwich maker. I was also disappointed to find that the cheese was just sliced American cheese, and it seemed like it was zapped in a microwave. I genuinely did not enjoy the sandwich and found it barely edible, ultimately tossing half of it away. Looking back, I wish I had chosen a different place because spending a few extra dollars at a better shop would have been worth it. I’m not even sure if they have a grill, but I would definitely NOT recommend ordering anything hot from here.

I've only tried the Crispy Fried Onion Rings at this deli twice. Next time, I plan to order a Corned Beef sandwich with coleslaw on it... I definitely will!

If you're looking for the best Italian sub in the area, this is the place to visit. It's as straightforward as that.
