The two girls were just talking while we were waiting to order and than when we asked how much longer it would be after 30 minutes they didn’t even give us an actual answer.
Hair on my food. Short curly hair. I was too grossed out that I threw my food away and didn't take pics
One of the few places to get great macaroni salad. Their food is tasty and there's plenty of it. If you leave hungry it's your fault.
This used to be our goto place for Hawaiian plate lunch. Over the years as they have changed names (and probably ownership) the quality and taste seems to have gone down the hill. For me, as someone who grew up in Hawaii, the true test is how they cook the bbq beef and how they make the macaroni salad. My wife and I stopped here about 3 weeks ago and the mac salad tasted like it was washed in vinegar and totally inedible.Thinking maybe the chef is new, I convinced my wife to stop there today and mentioned to the cashier that the last time we were there there was too much vinegar in the mac salad. She said no they used lemon. But she apparently knew what the problem was; they must have gotten complaints about it. So today's mac salad doesn't have trace vinegar at all; in fact the taste lacks any kind of flavorful ingredient at all. It looks like there's mayonnaise on it but it sure doesn't taste like it. What you taste is the smell of a dried macaroni. As for the bbq beef, it's always been a little dry and a little salty. It tastes like it's marinated for several days. But at least the meat is of good quality ... not tough or full of muscles that you can barely chew on like some of the other restaurants who claim to be Hawaiian BBQ restaurant.I would encourage management to take their chefs to a place like L&L which serves real Hawaiian mac salad.I'm being generous by rating the restaurant with 3 stars because I know they can prepare better Hawaiian plate fare.
This used to be one of our favorite places to go for musabi rolls. We stopped going about 2 years ago. I decided to give a random try again today because I really want some spam. I spent $10 on 4 musabi rolls that were really burnt. The first bite you could tell right away they were dry and hard. All 4 of them were burnt and left a really bad taste. I can't say I'm surprised considering the quality had to change before we decided to stop going. The spam were cut really thin- so it's mainly rice. My question is if you can't even cook spam right, then what can you cook? I will not be returning again.
