Higgins South was superior. We have visited both the North and South locations. The food at Higgins North was mediocre. The restaurant seemed outdated and not very clean.

Was in the area of Higgins Crab House and decided to pick up some of their Cream of Crab soup and steamed shrimp. It was absolutely some of the worst soup I have ever had. Full of flour, over salted and no crab, it was like badly made gravy, threw it out. Shrimp was over salted and the flavor was lost. Last time we eat there. Maybe the steamed crabs are the only item worth ordering now.

Good food for the value. Not fine dining -families. It's a crab and seafood place. Got the snow crab special-1lb, 2 sides for 39.99. Also had 1/2 dozen oysters. Thought food good for what we paid.

The prices are high and the variety of quality spirits is lacking.

This restaurant would have received five stars, but the menu was a bit deceiving. The restaurant was clean with nice outdoor seating. We ordered the steak and crab cake, which was delicious, along with amazing corn on the cob and baked potato. I would order it again anytime. We also tried the Alaskan snow crab, which was delicious. The menu advertised it as all you can eat, but they charged an extra $19.99 for each additional pound. We ordered one more pound, but when the bill came, they charged an extra $36 instead of $19.99, claiming it was a special deal and not all you can eat. We were not happy with this as nobody informed us of the change in price. Despite this, the food was great, so we paid and would consider going back, just with more specific questioning next time. The server seemed to be a bit lost at times, even though the restaurant was not very busy. However, these things happen.
