Good espresso, which I had twice over two visits. I initially presumed that espresso was available, which was reinforced after the owner—who took my order—made one for me when I couldn't find it on the menu. It was my second visit that I learned that espresso wasn't available, after I ordered, and was served one, and quickly told that it was a one-time courtesy. I was amused, and later apologized to the owner who had made me that first espresso, for ordering something that wasn't on the menu. He assured me that I could order one anytime.
The service was flat, truly unimpressive in service, approach and demeanor. The beans looked barely boiled and the sweet plantains had great color yet were unappetizing in texture and taste. The chicken had a slightly fishy taste but the white rice was ok. Hopefully post covid will be better.
Worst service ever, My chicken was raw in the middle and I didnt eat it. Its was such a thin slice of chicken that I was upset and said nothing. The waitress was horrible at customer To top it all when we were paying our total was $52 totaled out then so looked at how much she was charging my debit card its was $62. I asked her why she said my tip is already added. I said what tip, she said her 15%. That's when I told her about her poor skills and the chicken and also that a tip is voluntary for the customer, she said we automatically put a tip for every one. Then had the nerve to tell me some customers want their chicken half way cooked. Dont eat there!!! You will get sick!!!
The restaurant was very clean, the food was delicious with generous portions, and the prices were great.
