Cody's Original Roadhouse Ocala, Fl

Came here with my fiancé who had never been. Ribs and burgers were absolutely brilliant and Jake had great service. Will definitely tell my friends when I come back to Australia!

The service was good especially considering it was very very busy. The outside seating was cozy, but still a little warm with the sun shining on us as it started to set. The food was tasty. We particularly liked the onion ring stack. The pulled pork was good, although not a very large portion. The burgers we ordered came slightly over cooked, but had great flavor. The band that played was good, but I think we’ll sit inside next time so that it isn’t quite so loud for us. Overall we had a great first experience and will be back.

The outdoor venue is great. Live music was entertaining. My ribeye steak was, unfortunately, flavorless. My wife enjoyed a different cut. We will definitely be back to try again. After all, this was their grand opening. Stuff happens.

Been there twice the music the first night they opened was great the food was good I had ribs they would've been great if the came out hot...the 2nd time I went my wife and I had dessert and coffee we had the mile high carrot cake it was awesome I highly recommend it. The music wasn't so great that night...I will definitely be going back because I think this place can really get a lot better and it's close to my house..

Warning long review) Ok so I took off two stars for two reasons, one was the server and two the wait time due to the server. The first time I went was nice, the wait time was long but that was ok. I’ve never been to Cody’s before so when they opened the new location I had to give it a try. The manager was very sweet and friendly. The waitress I had the first time was really nice and friendly. Food was amazing the first time, so because I had a great time the first visit I said hey, I’ll go again wit the girls. Second visit, we’ll let’s just say this time was not as pleasant. The wait was long, didn’t care because I knew the food was worth it. Well yah nope not this time. Our waitress we had was not as friendly her name was Brittan not sure how to spell it but it Rhymes with Britain tho. We sat down at 7:04 she didn’t come to our table until 7:10, ok cool their busy right. She took our drink order before we can say Appetizers she was out. Drinks came around 7:20-7:30 by then we had to order Appetizers and dinner. The manager is so sweet. He sat at our table talked with us and had a few laughs. We all ordered steak this time I was very disappointed looked good but no taste at all. I really wished it had flavor because it was so juicy but was missing flavor. The drinks the second time was watered down really didn’t like the mixed drinks. Overall may not go back for the third time but still a nice place for a juicy steak
