Meximama The Mactan Newtown - Obrero

I eat here from time to time and over the years, their rice meal servings have gotten smaller and more expensive. However, their Mexican dishes are pretty good. I tried the Carne Tostadas recently and they do not disappoint. This place is the closest you’ll get to quality Mexican food in Mactan Island.

Customer service needs to be improved. The one in the chef uniform looks like he cannot be bothered. No greeting at all. He even looked at his phone for the time. The lady who eventually arrived and handled the serving of food, wasn't smiling. Ano ba? You don't want to do your jobs? As for the food, Pollo Ala Plancha is what I ordered but it was raw when it was served. Nothing grilled about it. They cooked it again. I appreciate that, but the taste is not something you'll come back for. It didnt taste Mexican at all. It was grilled slathered with spicy sauce. : Disappointed.

My husband likes mexican food as for me not so much but my experience here made me understand why my husband likes it here. The achiote and lime chicken needs a little bit more season but the carnitas and the quesadilla negra would make me come back for more.

Omg! I just love those cheesy quisdillas and tasty tacos!!! Just right! The mexican feel is right at the hearta of their menu's taste. Love it.
