L'Evasion - Objat

The Guinguette Lac d'Objat is sold to highest bidder by Mairie every year. Has always been 'flakey' for grub as the result. However......it is a Bar by a Lake in centre of town from which you might keep an eye on kids in the excellent swimming pool with facilities through the fence! While they have a great laugh and you enjoy a chilled one....

Visited the local water park in Objat and went to L'evasion for lunch. The menu had a range of local products. We opted for the main course salad with duck and steak. The salad had the usual greens, smoked duck, some foie gras, walnuts, goats cheese fritter, duck spring rolls. Delicious dressing. Perfect for lunch. The steak was tender, wonderful chips with the potato skins still on, and some carrots and peas. There was no room left for dessert. Good value wine. The complimentary bread was so good we asked where it came from (the newest bakers in the village). The restaurant is only open in the summer when the water park is also open so check out the opening hours before going. Tables are set under a pergola and has views over the water (both in the park and the small lake). Will go back.
