If you want to take a break from spicy and fat rich Oaxacam food, try this place. I expected to find a large list of slads but the choice is very limited. However, the House salad is huge and refreshing. There's a stall selling fresh juice and smoothies, too.

This was great find thanks to trip advisor. We were looking for a breakfast spot close to our hotel (Hotel Camba 90m). Much moe then we expected, super fresh, local delicious. Mama Lechuga is in a mini food fair, coffee bars sweats and other small restaurants. Excellent value for the food!

This is located inside the El Pochote organic market. There are several food stalls, coffee stalls, juice stalls, etc. You can order and pay at each and then have the food brought to you in the courtyard. We ate at Mama Lechuga several times and loved it. The alhambra and the "sin quesadilla" are both chock-full of sauteed veggies and come with a side salad, salsa, and tortillas. The price is a little higher than what you might find at other places in Oaxaca, but you are buying organic produce cooked to order in a beautiful courtyard. Highly recommended.

My wife and i stumbled on this courtyard around the corner from our hotel Camba.i had a veggie burrito that was to die for. My wife hsd an omelet and it was fantastic as well. We bought great coffee at one of the other stalls and it wad also one of the best.
