Bidrage med feedbackCocina Económica Isabel has a beautiful location, a beautiful atmosphere and fillings. We found it randomly while we drop the laundry diagonally over the street, and we liked it so much, we ate there twice, while in the city (we tried to eat... there are three times- note that it is only open Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 15:00. They converted a colonial house for their restaurant so that the original courtyard gives natural light. I can't testify to their lunch offer because we just went to breakfast, but we liked what we tried- typical dishes like enchiladas suizas, migas, chilaquiles and huevos al gusto. The coffee was good, like the service. You take credit cards. The price was very reasonable; the portions were large, with packages containing coffee or hot chocolate, fruit or juice, entrees and pan dulce. You take credit cards. The full service washing diagonally down the same road was also great. Maybe you want to arrange your own two-for-one on this otherwise common Cobblestone street.
I just wanted to comment on the nice breakfast experience we had at Cocina Isabel. My brother, sister and I were lucky to find this family-run restaurant. We loved it and went back several morning to enjoy the good food and good service, and good...price. Try it! Ricardo
I picked up from the record of day selection for lunch. The tomato soup with pasta was tasteless and the pasta was boiled. The enchiladas rojas were great as the flan. The service was very fast (almost too fast, as I would only be done halfway before they would bring out the next article) and somewhat moderate. On average.
This beautiful little restaurant is a small stone alley. It was recommended by someone in the Oaxaca Lending Library when we were last in Oaxaca in 2016. We loved it so much that we have eaten there several times during our monthly stay. I couldn't come back to this trip. All we had there was skeptical, but the Rojas sauce, basically a red mole, is exceptional. The place is also beautiful. It feels like you're eating in the jungle. And it's exceptionally clean. They saw they never stopped while we were there today. We are in Oaxaca only two weeks this time, but I am sure we will eat again several times in Cocina Económica Isabel!
Cocina Isabel serves very good, conventional breakfasts in a cozy courtyard. I have had breakfast there many times, but I have not tried Isabel at other times of the day. This place does not look like much from the street, but is quite nice inside....It is located on a narrow street about two blocks from the Oaxaca Lending Library. I like their egg dishes and hot cakes.
