Bidrage med feedbackThe meals were creative and daring in their combinations. We got a generous half bottle of a sparkling wine that cost the equivalent of one glass, and the wine was sensational. The server was super nice, and the atmosphere was very casual. It was among the best chicken and waffles I've ever had, and my partner loved the smoked pork chop.
We visited during restaurant week and tried the special menu. It seemed like we were the first customers to arrive, but by 6:30 the restaurant was full. The 3-course meal provided ample portions of delicious food. We particularly enjoyed the salami, chicken and waffles, and the C&H burger was fantastic! Our server made sure to check on us regularly, which we appreciated.
Tried Clove and Hoof for Oakland Restaurant Week. Pretty cool concept. As it was our first time, we got a complimentary sampler of their charcuterie. It's not typically my thing, but was actually quite good. We ordered the burger and fries. Best burger I've had in years! In fact, it was a double burger. Sooo good I couldn't finish my fries (also hasn't happened in years). I'll definitely go back.
On Monday night, the restaurant was quite busy! We ordered carrots, fries, ribeye, fried chicken, and gnocchi. The gnocchi was excellent (although I didn't care for the orange zest) and the ribeye was delicious. The chicken was good, but the waffle was cold. The fries were average, nothing special. The music was too loud. Overall, it was a pleasant evening with friends.
Great joint for red meat lovers (WHO report? what WHO report? . Charcuterie dish rocked. Had super high hopes for the cheese steak, which was good but just not as good as expected. (Mushrooms were confusing in a cheese steak.
