Hemmingway's Bistro - Oak Park

Great food and atmosphere! But it is a French bistro and the French enjoy their food and wine, so allow 2 hours for a ypur meal.

Very tasty, had the smoked salmon starter. Potato pancake cutting against the fluffy horseradish cream was a nice contrast. Had the red snapper special which was also fresh and in a delicious butter sauce and served over potatoes, asparagus and mushrooms. Crispy fried Brussels sprouts served on top! I wish I had room for dessert:p Service was friendly and not smothering and the owner even came and greeted me.

Food was not flavorful. Dessert was even bland. Also, the soda was watered down. Not a good experience. Would not dine here ever again. Service was just ok.

Good was absolutely delicious. Great services and atmosphere. Decorated nice for holiday. Will be back soon.

What an absolute delight! Lunch was delicious, the aviation cocktail a sure hit, and service was friendly and professional. Try the herb crusted whitefish, you won't be disappointed.
