Barclay's American Grille - Oak Park

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant, starting with the delicious fish and chips. The ambiance was enhanced by the music playing near the bar. My colleague enjoyed the scallops, while my son had the surf and turf dish. The modern touch of color throughout the Tudor style interior was lovely. This restaurant is a great alternative to going downtown Chicago, especially if you are staying at the Carlton hotel nearby. I highly recommend it for a night out.

The restaurant had amazing food and service, and the entertainment was outstanding. The three of us had appetizers, a sandwich, and two desserts. The Blue Lincolns were fantastic! We give this place 5 stars and will definitely be coming back.

We have been regulars at Barclay's for many years now. It has become our preferred choice for dining when we can't decide on where to go. The food is consistently fresh and delicious, and the drinks are also good. The entire staff is excellent, but we have requested the same server for a few years because we all enjoy her warm service and attention to detail. She even remembers our drink orders, so we don't have to ask for them again. Patty is truly amazing!

Pleasant enough, service satisfactory, we went for a Thanksgiving buffet. Food a little above average, decent variety, average tab/bill for this type of event. Setting and seating are very nice, normal menu usually a bit better.

I am staying at the hotel and work late most nights, so I've been here twice this week. Of the items I've tried not one thing was worth what I paid. The French onion soup was close but the cheese was burnt and the taste permeated throughout the entire bowl. The pork tenderloin was good but the sides were cold. The eggplant is really a plate of melted cheese with a tough sliver of skin-on eggplant. The best things so far are the $2 pints of Miller Lite on Mondays. Because I am here most of the month, I will continue to test the menu in the hopes of finding something that tastes as good as it costs. I'm not holding out much hope. That's too bad because the place has potential. The atmosphere is very nice. Thank goodness I'm on an expense account. I wouldn't want to waste my money on this place.
