Rockefeller's - Oak Lawn

I've dined here before for Sunday brunch and found the food to be decent. However, during our recent dinner visit, I only enjoyed two things: the stuffed mushrooms appetizer (which included mushrooms, sausage, and cheese) and the diet Pepsi. Unfortunately, the cream of broccoli soup was quite chalky. I ordered a special, the Salmon Creole with au gratin potatoes, but the salmon had a peculiar dill or sour taste. After just one bite, I informed my waitress that it wasn't suitable for me. The au gratin potatoes were simply diced with a layer of cheese baked on top, without any sauce. The chef claimed the salmon was cooked properly and refused to remake the dish. I ended up paying for the meal, and this restaurant has now been added to my list of places I won't be returning to.

Rockefellers has been our family’s go-to spot since our grandson was just one year old, and he’s now 26. Every Christmas Eve, we gather there for our family celebration. Nick and his wife are incredibly gracious, friendly, and, above all, welcoming whenever we arrive. The food is outstanding, whether you’re enjoying top-quality steaks or delicious appetizers. If you haven’t visited this place yet, you absolutely need to make time to see what it’s all about. — Terri Durkalski

We enjoyed a family dinner with a big group, and the staff was exceptional! The service and food were both delightful, and the live music added a lovely touch. We will definitely be back!

Excellent all around….best service I’ve had in years. Fresh salads and lightly breaded lake perch…..great dining experience!

The food was excellent, the service was amazing and the atmosphere was festive. Ken was outstanding as usual, and anticipated our every need.
