Jedi's Garden - Oak Lawn

Ordered 1/2 fried chicken dinner and Red Velvet cake. Chicken came with choice of potato, green peas fresh garden salad. Can't say enough good things about the food!

We get seated and it takes the waitress forever to come over. She acknowledges us and says she 'll be right there and we can see her having a whole 10 min. Conversation with another worker, then some men she knows get seated behind us and she rushes right over and starts their order and then ours. We didn 't say anything we let it slide even though she says to them gotta get their order( referring to us they were here first. She takes ours and pits them in and there 's comes up first, they eat say there goodbyes to her and leave. (Forgot to mention she did the side cheek kiss when she saw one of them when they got there. She brings us our food and didn 't check on us once. I stopped her to ask for lemons on the side and she brought that. She didn 't bring extra napkins to the table or ask my husband if he wanted more coffee. My cinnamon swirl French toast and sausage was fine but his pork chops were dry and had no taste. He forced the first one down but couldn 't do the second one. I asked him if he wanted me to te them and get him something else and he said no that 's ok. . We won 't be going back.

I like Jedis food. Tonight as I do once a week, I ordered for pickup. Unfortunately, my order was radically wrong. I spoke to the owner Tom, and asked me if I was close by. I responded I was, but I decided not to pick up again what I should've already have gotten. After my conversation with Tom, I also discovered the soup order was wrong, and their was no coleslaw. How hard can it be? These type of mistakes happen more often than they should. I'm sorry to write this review, but it's the way I feel. Tom offered to make good on the order, but I wanted to eat what I ordered today, not next time. Instead of asking me to if I'm close by, the corrected order should have been delivered to us. Toms son did this for us on one occasion, and profusely apologized for the mistake.

It is a wonderful restaurant and very relaxed atmosphere. Food was great, service was on point and drinks were great.
