Barrelclub Restaurant - Oak Lawn

I went to The Barrel Club for brunch and the food was amazing! Never a disappointment when I dine there. Oscar was my waiter and he was phenomenal. He's very attentive, knowledgeable and professional.

I had the filet and my husband had the short ribs. Both dishes were perfectly cooked and delicious. My only negative comment is that they automatically add 18% tip even for just two people. I know places do this for larger groups but this is the first time I experienced this for just two people. We normally leave a larger tip (which you can add more) but I just thought this was odd for just two people.

Always a good time dinning there. Easily comparable to a downtown area restaurant. I will say I normally enjoy the carrots but this time they were way too salty. Minor issue compared to all the deliciousness we had. My fav dish is the garganelli pasta. My husband loves the Amish chicken ? we also tried the strawberry bundt cake and it was mouth watering.

Our family gathered to celebrate the eve of the new year with brunch. Almost everything was perfect. Chris (entertainer/server) was attentive, knowledgeable, and communicated with us throughout the experience to make sure our needs were met. We had shrimp tempura and wings as appetizers and they were flavorful. The Nashville Chicken and Waffles was amazing... the waffles are magical. The shrimp and grits were deliciously on par with what we've eaten in Charlotte, NC and New Orleans, LA. The chicken fried chicken with gravy was an unexpected hit. The short rib skillet was flavorful along with the sausage croissant sandwich. We will return in the new year.

The food was delicious and my out of town guests were very impressed with the food, staff friendliness. Our service was very friendly and explained the menu and offered suggestions to food to try. We will definitely be back again!
