Bidrage med feedbackThis is a really nice intimate restaurant in Nyack. We always have a great meal here. There for restaurant week and the menu was really good. They even had live music.
My mother-in-law wanted to try this restaurant for a dinner with neighbors on Saturday and I was pleasantly surprised. Overall we had a very positive experience and the food was pleasant and well prepared. I liked the variety of seafood and seasonal touches on the menu. We loved the basil Pesto they serve with bread, and the cocktails were pleasant and well made. I had the special salmon grille appetizer and while it was good, I wish I had ordered the scallop with the Risotto appetizer because another member of our party ordered it and it looked fantastic. I like smoked salmon and goat cheese and filling was well seasoned, and the beets and mango were a nice addition to the dish. The roulette might have been a bit crowded with cheese and quite fill. The grilled shrimps with crispy angel hair pancakes looked good, although my mother-in-law left her pasta untouched, as she said she was not used to sweeten pasta (probably from the coconut balsamium sauce). For Entrées I had the serrated scallops and shrimps with pancetta and wild mushrooms and peas and I thought the dish was a bit salty (but it expects because of the pancetta) it was very well done and the mushrooms were fleshy and the pancetta was delicious. The seafoods were nicely boiled, I just wish the scallops were not covered with sauce because they were nicely browned and probably had a nice crust at one point. I'm not generally the biggest fan of the Butternuss-Quesch, but the pure on the plate was smooth and strongly spiced with cinnamon and well paired with the saltiness of the sauce. They don't have a children's menu, but they offered a few options for my son, and he had Linguine Bolognese, who didn't look as meaty as the pappardelle Bolognese that my husband had (which was excellent, the sauce was quite tasteful and the pasta was delicate, definitely homemade), but he enjoyed it. I asked for his court to come first and house them so that he could start eating and not so much to ****. Normally, I wouldn't bring a nearly six-year-old to this restaurant, but fortunately, he was pretty good and the waitress took the time to talk to him. My son wanted the flourless chocolate cake to dessert, which I found a little dry and crumbling. My mother-in-law ordered the beggar purse and my husband and I shared one. It is hard to like unmelted chocolate in Filo dough. Wouldn't I be so stuffed? ve was my dessert of choice and although I had no sorbet, I assume that the tartness was a wonderful addition to the riches of chocolate. The service was pretty attentively refilled with water almost too aggressive, cocktail refills were somewhat slow and after we ordered our first round of drinks, the drinks menus were removed so we had to ask for them again. But overall the food was delicious and the cook was running around and checked for us and we had a very good experience. When we left after about 2 1/2 ho
