Sugar Tree Cafe - Nutley

It was a lovely place to meet a friend for a hot beverage. The Buffalo Empanada was delicious. Went back a second time for breakfast. The food was very good.

Honestly i feel like this place is overrated. their food was just okay. it feels like the main attraction is for people to take pictures to post on their social media, which is pretty lame. the place WAS pretty though, and the music was good. but those factors didn't outweigh the fact that the food was just incredibly underwhelming. but i'm actually glad they were mid because my ex partner used to work here we went on a date here. like imagine the devastation of not being able to go to your favorite spot because your ex ruined it for you. luckily, this was not my experience because this place was a solid 2.5/5. HOWEVER: i do want to include a disclaimer that maybe they've improved since the last time i've been (over a year ago), but i will not be returning to find out.

This place is delicious! Came here for lunch with my coworker and we both agreed everything was tasty and made to perfection! I had the Nutley chicken sandwich which is made with fried chicken. The fried chicken was tasty and not greasy at all which is what I was concerned about . This sandwich was a perfect combo the avocado the bacon all went well together. The buffalo chicken empanada was tasty , had a lot of buffalo ! It was pleasantly enjoyed with the herb sauce that came with it. One is enough! My friend had the fried cinnamon toast and said it was amazing only complaint was the plate that it came on. The plate made it hard for her to cut into her French toast without spilling syrup everywhere. Overall she loved it.Service was great , upon entering we were greeted by friendly people at the counter . This is definitely a cute spot to come and chill at with girlfriends or a significant other.

The service is excellent, and the food is really good, especially the empanadas, OMG really good. The only thing i recommend is to improve the quality of the coffee you guys use. Other than that, everything is excellent.

Went with my sister for a little brunch hangout. The aesthetics get you but it kinda stops there. The coffee was good but the food was not which we weren't expecting. Got the sticky wings and it was cold when it got to the table (not a busy time there) and doused with way too much sauce (which I repeat was cold). Mac bites were good but not the sauce it was on. My sister got the matcha pancakes which she liked. The Lobster tostadas were bland.Recommend going to just catch up over a coffee or drinks but would skip the food
