Alexandria Mediterranean Cuisine - Novi

I made a reservation on OpenTable, but when I arrived, they did not have a table available because they had not been set up yet. To make matters worse, they did not apologize for the inconvenience. We were seated at a wet table and ordered two appetizers and two entrees. The bread with garlic sauce was good, but the garlic was overpowering. The lamb grape leaves had mostly rice and very little lamb, while the hummus was delicious. We ordered the Shawarma and Kebab platter for one person, but were surprised to find that the bill included food for two people. Despite the mix-up, we did not complain and just wanted to leave. The service was poor overall, and although the food was decent, it was not outstanding. I am surprised by the recent positive reviews of this restaurant and believe there are better options for Mediterranean cuisine with better service in the Novi/Detroit area. Additionally, the music choice at the restaurant was inappropriate and did not match the dining experience.

There are likely better Mediterranean restaurants in the Novi/Detroit area with more friendly and competent service. Additionally, the restaurant should consider changing their music selection as the somber songs did not match the atmosphere of a Friday night dining experience.

There are likely better Mediterranean options in the Novi/Detroit area with superior service. Additionally, the music selection at the restaurant was inappropriate and did not match the dining experience we expected on a Friday evening.
