Masa Sushi Novato

We enjoyed a delightful meal featuring some enchanting dishes. We tried the Chirashi bowl, which had plenty of Uni (my favorite!), the dragon roll, and the salmon bento. The kids had Udon, and everything was delicious. This is one of the few authentic Japanese restaurants in Marin!

The food was incredibly overpriced for the quality offered. The tuna had an overwhelmingly fishy taste, so I sent the entire dish back. The salmon sashimi consisted of the tiniest pieces I've ever encountered—three pieces here equaled one piece at other restaurants, and yet it was more expensive. It was almost comical! The salmon wasn’t any better or fresher than what you could find at Safeway. I was really looking forward to dining here, especially since it has a Michelin star, but I’m still trying to understand why it received that recognition in the first place. I’d much prefer to go back to NIE. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience!

Absolutely fantastic! I initially expected to just have a light sushi dinner, but what I experienced was authentic cuisine straight from Japan. The selection of Toro and Kanpachi was incredible, all incredibly fresh. I highly recommend letting Jorge prepare you a special handroll; you won’t be disappointed!

Bright clean with attentive staff. The first time impressions were eaten here were great. The food was top quality, deliciously presented. Excellent wasabi! Interesting unusual fish offers. We have a reservation for two at the bar for 5:30 before she is super busy. Delicious!

Nice little sushi restaurant in downtown. But I have to agree with other reviews, 5oz saki is very stingy for a serving. Especially when the waiter stated is is plenty dor 2 people. Sushi was good, fresh. No creativity in presentation. Ramen bowl was incredible! Definitely tasty and well prepared!
