Bidrage med feedbackThe Plank and Leggit is a place where culinary dreams seem to go to die. I've visited a few times, and while it's a quiet pub with a rather odd atmosphere, the friendly staff provide great service. Unfortunately, the food leaves much to be desired. I've had rare steaks served well done, which were drier than a joke from Jimmy Carr's nan. The sausages were so overcooked that I could barely penetrate them with a fork, and the chicken was a bland, microwaved disaster—unappealing in color and with a slimy texture. Additionally, I encountered frozen specials and wilted salad leaves. I doubt even Gordon Ramsay could salvage this kitchen. It's disappointing because the pub has so much potential, especially given its prime location near a bustling marina. It feels as though the chefs have simply given up. **Food:** 1 **Service:** 5 **Atmosphere:** 1 **Recommended Dish:** Fries **Parking:** Plenty of free parking available.

Come here regularly with our dog and sit in the dog friendly area Our dog is very small and nervous so sits on my partner 's knee. We always ask a staff member and are told it 's not a problem if they are on her knees. One member of staff cam over to us and said she needs to be put on the floor because it 's not very nice for other people to see when eating. We thought Surely if people dont like dogs or want to be around them then they shouldn 't be in the dog friendly area. We were a bit annoyed at this because there was another family with a dog across from us with a dog in their lap and they never got asked to move them. It was like one rule for us and another for someone else. We had other staff members come up to us and give our dog the biggest fuss and again this particular woman was the only one that had a problem with our dog. She wasn 't very dog friendly. We stopped by for lunch on a whim since we were passing by, and I appreciated that it was dog-friendly. The food was quite decent, though it was clearly pre-prepared and reheated rather than made from scratch. It’s typical pub fare at its finest. The staff were wonderful—helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was pleasant, enhanced by the Christmas decorations that added a cozy touch. If we happen to be in the area again, I would definitely return for lunch. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
