Bidrage med feedbackEN: Super friendly staff and extra super friendly management, because our taxi didn't come and a thunderstorm threatened, the boss drove us back to their private car. Thank you. We had an amazing dinner of Huîtres Chaudes and Choucrute de Mer. An extensive wine list offers many local and national wines at fair prices. Huge selection on the cheese plate and desserts to die. Absolute recommendation! Rare was served and eaten so well and friendly. DE: Super-friendly staff and extra super-friendly management because our taxi did not come and required an energy storm, the boss has driven us back with her private car. Extraordinary thanks for that! We had a fantastic dinner with Huîtres Chaudes and the Choucrute de Mer. An extensive wine list offers enough lolale and regional wines at fair prices. Giant selection on the cheese plate and nightstands to kneel down. Absolute recommendation! Rare so good and friendly were and recorded.
Great restaurant, fantastic ambience, English menus for us with limited French. The food was amazing, hubby wanted to taste traditional food and had frog legs starter, I had crab and Langustin starter. For the net he had oysters cooked in cream and milk sauce, I had fish fillet. This was an amazing culinary experience and made so much better by the helpfulness of the staff. Worth a visit.
This restaurant is a short walk away from the campsite La Foret. The food is good and so is the choice but perhaps a little pricey for what you get. We chose one of the cheapest bottles of wine on offer and it was delicious....The starter of smoked salmon was good but a little meagre; on the other hand the local mixed salad with meat was huge. The potatoes with cheese were delicious. My husband's main of fish stew was tasty and delicate but a little light on shellfish; my scallops were delightfully tender and in a dramatic mushroom sauce ..... perhaps just a little salty for our taste. We were too full for a dessert and there were set menus on offer.
Stopped here for lunch on the way to Noirmoutier as the bridge was closed temporarily. Had a fabulous meal the oysters, 'Waterzooi ' fish broth, rabbit pate and confit duck were up there with the best dishes we have had on French holidays. The kids...menu dishes were also good. And they have a children 's play area! Excellent value for the quality and quantity of food. Nice place in every way.
We visited this restaurant on the outskirts of the town. It is situated on the main road towards St Jean de Monts and has good parking. There is a terrace as well as two main dining rooms. The atmosphere is quietly 'old French ' but not...stuffy. The staff are welcoming and able to communicate in English. There is also an English menu which descibes the ethos of the dining experience as well as giving written and pictoral help to facilitate making an informed choice. We tried both the lunchtime and dinner service and were not disappointed with either sitting. The service is relaxed rather than formal but there is also an air of good old fashioned attentive service from the young waitresses. Our meal was excellent, as was the choice of wines, the food being flavoursome and well cooked. Nothing was rushed and we found the cost lower than one would expect making eating here excellent value for money.
