Shoe Makers, Hungry Horse - Norwich

We absolutely adore dining at this restaurant. We are frequent customers and always receive exceptional service with a warm smile. The staff are consistently willing to go above and beyond for you. During our recent visit, I ordered the macaroni cheese which was outstanding. My husband tried the gammon grill and thoroughly enjoyed it. The chips were perfectly cooked - soft and fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Our server, Grace, was polite and attentive. Sierra is another great member of the staff who is always pleasant and good with customers. Overall, the service was friendly and efficient as always. Thank you, Shoemakers, for another wonderful dining experience.

The restaurant doesn't fill up their drinks without ice, so you end up with only half to three-quarters of a glass, which is outrageous considering the high prices.

The staff was incredible, I went for lunch with my family and was impressed by both the food and service. A special shoutout to the girl with red hair, 5 stars!

Thought we would use my clubcard vouchers and have a nice meal out as a family. When we got there, we were seated quickly but wasn't informed you had to go up to the bar and order your food and drinks. Once they were ordered we waited around 5 to 8 minutes for the starter. We chose the sharing cluck and cheese.. which is camambert, chicken goujons and garlic flatbread with a red onion chutney. It cost £9.95 so we were expecting a proper sharing starter but we were super dissapointed to find it could of fed one of us as a regular starter!! We had 3 tiny chicken goujons and half a slice of flatbread and the smallest little pot of chutney. It tasted good, we just wish there was more of it! Onto the mains.. I had the crispy chicken sandwich which is meant to have red onion in, and I didn't get any, the cheese sauce was just slapped on the edge of the ciabatta so it leaked out over the side. Tasted okay. My partner had the crown of burgers, I specifically asked for NO MAYO. It came out covered in mayonaise and wasn't put together well at all, my partner basically had to reconstruct his burgers himself. He said it tasted alright though. These mains both cost a tenner each and the portion size was big! So the starter really is ****. Our little boy had chicken nuggets, chips and beans and after our mains we never stayed for dessert as we had, had enough. It's a good job I payed using clubcard vouchers, as I wouldn't of payed using my own money for that. we won't be going back at all.

Lovely warm and friendly atmosphere! Love all the Christmas drinks and staff are always busy and never unwilling to help! Definitely Recommend food good bang for your buck
